He saw that its not working out so he spent another £300-400m but this time he got eliminated by Liverpool in ro8 lool. Its rather embarrassing for a "top" tier manager with unlimited budget.

I agree.

While football analysts aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer, so you can't blame them. But you only need to look at how much Pep has spent to become this force. He's playing with cheat codes. Last time a manager had such a leverage was arguably Mancini and before him, it was Mourinho. And in Mancini's case, he didn't have a precedent at City and had to build them from the scratch more or less.

I'm in the minority but I still prefer City's 11/12 side. That side was entertaining as f**k and have become so underrated. It was much more than simply Aguerooooooo. One of the most entertaining title winning sides.

Pep is a world class manager and the whole 100 points proves that. Even with that much money, there's no manager who could achieve that. Perhaps Klopp or Simeone for different reasons. So we can't entirely say it's all about the money. That said, we saw how they were in Pep's first season - not that impressive at all.

At Barca, he had Messi. At Bayern, well, duh. And now he's managing the club with most resources in England. No shit tiger.

I might be biased but for me, Simeone is by far the best manager in the world. He took a club who are akin to Newcastle United in terms of how they're run, a mid-table side, and has transformed it into a European powerhouse today.

To go back to Pep, his big game record isn't that impressive for someone who's managed all the big clubs. The fact that they parked the bus against Liverpool at Anfield and no one from the media batted an eyelid tells you how their image is being managed and molded. It's really unfair for other clubs to go up against a country.

Pep is used to be world class manager, not anymore. It has been eight years since he played a CL final despite the unlimited budget he gets lol. Also worth to mention that Pep is the one who created (destroyed more precisely) this Bayern Munich team, which is the weakest of last ten years. He has sold 24 years old Kroos and end up signing 33 years old Xabi Alonso for replacement...

Allegri, Simeone, Klopp, Zidane and Nagelsmann all come before Pep atm. Nagelsmann with Hoffenheim is doing what Klopp and Simeone done few years ago.

Pep's always been shit in the transfer market, wasn't it him who sanctioned the ridiculous deal for Ibrahimovic?

His footballing brain is the best of any manager in the last 30 years imo but he does ruin it by having to spend so much. I'm torn between the fact that is just how football is now (if he doesn't spend that much it will just be Man Utd, PSG, Madrid etc doing the same) and wanting him to prove it without spending.
He has proven it in the past when moneybags fc were less prevalent but not sure it's possible now without spending 200m each season; look at Atletico now compared to 4 years ago, Leicester was a freak 1 in 100 years thing, Monaco had a good season then got ripped apart.

The market has been screwed ever since Roman came but the last 2-3 seasons have done more damage than he ever did.

It's lovely tbf. Mancs and mou fans don't know how to behave so are sticking to the plan and continuing to blindly support him.

Hopefully they can keep going until they're out of Europa spots for the season.

Watching MOTD 2

How was Kompany not sent off? 2nd goal ball was clearly off

Embarrassing

Football dies a little more

Unlikely, of course, though it'd funny if Brighton and Huddersfield were to go down with Newcastle staying up.
