Apparently Trent Alexander-Arnold has registered more Premier League assists this season than Jesse Lingard has in his entire career

^Honestly think a Championship club would fare better in the long-term by getting promoted, not spending obscene money on mediocre vets in an attempt to stay up and instead buying young-ish players with potential, probably getting relegated after one season, and then using the money from one season in the PL and the parachute payments to build a solid side that can survive regularly in the PL after a season or two in the Championship.

Assuming that the Championship side isn't already full of youngsters with potential of course.

Big talk of another Arab PL purchase and this time it’s Newcastle United. Imagine them suddenly becoming the Northern Powerhouse spending money like Man City and becoming one of the PL elite! Great for their fans who have suffered for so long, but another barrier for us to get back to where we want to be.

I'll believe it when it happens, it could be a ruse to get Benitez to sign before the takeover. Ashley's done this before.

Nah, Rafa will be out on his ass. These sports club purchases are just dick waving contests for the rich. They will probably make a bunch of stupid buys like City did until they invested in building a strong internal recruiting and leadership culture.

This may be our only chance to get good money for some of our outgoing players. Surely this guy would pay anything to bring world class Ozil to St James Park??

United to replace United in the top 6?

Can't even imagine Sunderland fans right now. Stuck in League One while your club's biggest rival gets taken over by a Sheikh.

how would Newcastle be saving us if they are basically owned by the same family that own Man City? It'd be more of the same with a different coat of paint.
