Thought he looked reasonably well when he handed Wenger the retirement gift - especially for a man of his age.

That was less than a week ago.

His health must have detioriated quickly in the last couple of days - hope it's something that can be dealt with.

By the sound of it the surgery has been successful and he’s recovering in intensive care.

Unbelievable. Two absolute titans of the game. Probably the fiercest managerial rivalry in history, both personally and professionally, yet the respect they have for each other is incredible. They just don't make them like that anymore. That said, I don't think Arsene is the same Arsene from 2002. He's a shadow these days.
