Chelsea

After Mourinho becoming United manager they don't have their own thread anymore so here it is.

Conte doing what he's doing best lately .. whining
Still asking for more new players for the title winning side while net outspending Mourinhos 2nd stint by miles and
killing Chelsea's youth players with lines like this.
We have a lot of young players and if necessary we will have to try to play these players.

IIRC Mourinho is bar SAF the only coach who won the title back to back in the PL era right?
So I hope he doesn't copy Mourinho here too. :sneaky2:

ARSENE WENGER has told Chelsea chief Antonio Conte to stop moaning about his small squad.
Arsenal boss Wenger believes Conte and the Blues have only themselves to blame after loaning out so many of their youngsters.

Funny when the king of moaning ask somebody else to stop it :)
But he's still right about them

Banter. Tbf I can't think of a manager that doesn't moan about everything. Also, Wenger is right, why not give a chance to a handful of their FA cup winning team? They've got 2 loan squads, fecking use some of them. God knows how much their combined fee is.

JULY 2017: “Every team has to understand what their ambitions are,” claimed Conte on Wednesday. “My question is this: What are Tottenham's expectations? If their ambitions are to fight for the title or win the Champions League, you must buy expensive players. Otherwise you continue to stay in your level. It's simple.”
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/07/28/despite-spending-nothing-spurs-ambition-should-lauded-not-questioned/

:rofll: Spurs didn't bought anyone so far as he gave the interview so how did they overtake the title winner Chelsea?! :rofll:

The need for patience was very much a theme ahead of the Spurs clash and Conte even went as far to claim that he will need four years to build the foundations he wants to work from.

Last season we did a fantastic season because there wasn’t this foundation or basis. We started to build this foundation and we won, so it means we built something. But now it’s not enough, so we have to improve, to extend this basis, work together with new players.” ... “We have started this path and we want to continue together to improve and to bring this club to have a solid foundation to stay a long time at the top and to try to fight to win the Champions League and the League. A club like Chelsea must have this ambition. But I repeat we need time. We must have patience to work.

How do you built a "long term" foundation with 20+ young players out on loan oh the irony.. but well it's Chelsea they can simply buy expensive players no need for developing players.

Antonio Conte does not believe Chelsea can be considered favourites for the Premier League title as the Italian again suggested discontent with the champions' close-season dealings in the transfer market.

Yeah, as the last season title winner who replaced leaving players on every position you are not supposed to be labeled a title favorite..

FA launching investigation into section of Chelsea fans chanting anti-Semitic song about Alvaro Morata
The offensive chant, in reference to Chelsea's rivalry with Tottenham Hotspur, was frequently heard during the game and the FA is also expected to seek talks with other authorities.
