I'm not sure what's wrong with Chelsea right now. Yes, Kante is a big miss and their summer purchases weren't as good as City's. That's part of the problem. I think the major issue is a more modern one that champions usually face. It's the same at Real Madrid. It's a mental thing. Players seem to slack off after winning the league these days.

What surprises me is Chelsea leaking goals for a team that plays more defensively this season that it did last season. Having to play two games a week is obviously a problem, but not as big of a problem for a club like Chelsea.

That said, it's not as bad as the media is portraying it to be. It's nothing like Mou's final season there. Typical overreaction.
