United will probably win, but Everton are looking like the more attacking team....... and they're managed by Big Sam

United lead. Pogba throws the ref down on the ground after not getting a decision but no action

Another example which raises debate and yet again proves how subjective the term assist is.

De Bruyne crosses, Kabasele tries to intercept but the ball ricochets of off him resulting in an own goal.

Transfermarkt and various other stat websites usually would count this as an assist as it is still a direct contribution to a goal.

Opta generally doesn't count goals like these as assists as the goal isn't scored by a team mate.

As long as FIFA don't come up with official, more detailed criteria as to what counts as a legitimate assist and what doesn't, data companies will continue to publish differing numbers.

Aguero looking very tired these days. With Jesus out for a while I wonder if City will make a big bid for Alexis; they'll need the goals he can bring.
