Exactly the sort of deal we should be looking for - 20m for a 21 year old with over 50 games in the EPL - worst case you can sell in 3 years and hope to get your money back, best case he develops into a decent >50m player ...

Just don't see how this makes sense for us, are we really that skint?

The choice is Willock or one of Odegaard/Maddison.
Raya/Ramsdale
White/Tomiyasu--Saliba/Timber--Gabriel/Kiwior--???/Zinchenko
???/Jorginho
Odegaard/Smith Rowe----Rice/???
Saka/Jesus-------------------Martinelli/Trossard
???/Havertz

Personally, I'd have kept Willock as back up to Smith Rowe and put the money towards the RB, GK and CM we need.

Difference is that Rodgers wants to keep Maddison around. Newcastle on the other hand knew that Joe wasn't wanted here.

We over charged Newcastle by £24,999,999 for Willock.
£1 would have been a fair deal.
He’s crap.

lol, you do realise that I actually think he’s worth more than £1, right?

But he’s not our player, we got a very good deal, so whatever… couldn’t give a f**k about him. He’s never going to be good enough for us.
