Having played really well for Blackpool on loan last season (they were promoted) he's now putting in some good performances in the Championship.

Had another great performance at centre half in a 1-0 win last night.

Arsenal are set to hand Daniel Ballard a two-year contract extension, reports football.london.

The 22-year-old, who has impressed on loan at Millwall this season, was set to see his contract expire at the end of the current season.

Ballard could still find it difficult to break into the first team at Arsenal though, with the club's main goal seemingly to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

Arsenal will sell promising centre-back Daniel Ballard this summer, should a suitable offer arrive for the defender.

The Gunners have held talks with the 22-year-old’s representatives recently and GOAL has learnt that both parties have now come to a mutual agreement about his future.

They have decided that Ballard will be made available for transfer, but only if the north London club’s valuation is met.

25 year old Nat Phillips who spent the second half of the season on loan at Bournemouth is being touted at £15m.

22 year old Ballard who has a full season with Millwall and has 13 international caps is being touted at £5m.

How are we so indept at selling players. Hoping it's just fluff. Ballard should be moving for at least £10m.
