The first goal Tottenham scored last night against Man U was typical hoofball.Adrian Durham on Talksport has just been comparing them with the Wimbledon teams of the 1980's.

Wonder what the reaction would be had Wenger said the same?

That would be applicable if England had done anything worthwhile in the last 50 years.

Even when England had that stellar golden generation, they were still playing some of the most lackluster football.

The Argentina games in 1998 and 2002; the hammering of Germany in 2001; the Brazil game in 2002, and beating Denmark 3-0 in 2002 WC are few games when England looked like they could hang in with the best.

Incidentally, all of those games fell within a 4-year span (98 - 02).

spurs were back in Stoke mold yesterday, they cheated, dived, hoofed balls in the box and had a player deservedly sent off,all that is needed now is for them to be sent packing with Stoke to the Championship..

At least we know that this is their peak...

If they lose the final it's all down hill from here. Aging squad. No trophies to keep their best players. Very shallow squad. Low budget due to new stadium.

Shit this sounds familiar...
