from the horses mouth... for all you arm chair wannabe managers...
" his pre game speech failed to motivate the players"

"I will tell you a secret," Pep Guardiola said in October. "The main thing is the quality of the players." He went on: "I try to figure out things, but at the end the players ... the success we had is because we have top players. This is the secret, no more than that."

thanks, Pep

Yeah no shit Pep depends on top players, it took him 10 years to make a CL final without Messi. Meanwhile, Klopp, Tuchel, and Ancelotti have all won it without needing galaxy brain think pieces written about them.

Think Brighton may have another big season tbh.

Their new signings lookef very promising today. Just need some quality in midfield if Caicedo goes

Clubs have voted to trial a salary cap to the EPL

About time this happened hopefully does not effect the outcome of the charges already pending to scum city

how's that going to work? unless its a hard cap that no one is allowed to be above its another measure that will hardwire an advantage for the richer bigger sides, just like PSR does

This is so insidious but in line with billionaires and their aspirations. Essentially, you're transferring money from the hands of players to the hands of these billionaire elites. Hence, you're making billionaires richer than they already are.

Great proposition!

I think they needed something like this, player salaries have been spiralling out of control for years with no end in sight, it needed reigning in, you look at what even the average player is paid now and it’s ridiculous.

I agree, but that’s why they need better TV deals that redistribute income and rules to ensure money filters down to the lower levels. Whether it happens or
not is another matter, but paying footballers more so that already rich billionaires don’t get richer isn’t a solution either, it makes it easier to push up ticket prices and justify them, player transfers and wages are the main reason ticket prices go up all the time.

Then you have some people sympathising with them when they get a bit of criticism for whatever reason.

Wolves sign some Portuguese pubber from Braga. They seem obsessed with signing Portuguese players.

Most of them are overrated, look at their performances during the season, pretty toothless.
