That fits with the player mentioned.

The rumour is that it's about messaging underage girls via some media or other. All rumours currently though.

I don’t want to speculate too much, but Leigh Griffiths was apparently texting an underage girl and he was named straight away.

Whereas this says “arrested on suspicion of Child Sex crimes” and they haven’t named him. Seems a hell of a lot more serious than just texting an underage girl.

I guess we will see soon enough

'Premier League: Players from all 20 clubs will continue to take the knee'

I'm surprised they're continuing with this as it could potentially cause a lot of controvesy.

I'm glad they are.

Don't see what's so controversial about it. It's the fight against racism. Only the racists don't like it

Serves to serve no purpose other than to give a voice to tiny number of racists in this country.
I've always found the gesture very odd. Kneeling down, which is a subservient gesture.
The way to deal with racists is to laugh at them.
We should have a 30-second laugh-a-long with a middle finger raised.
The massive majority laughing at brainless morons would be much better than stroking their egos by making them relevant. They are not going to change.

Interesting bit published in the Athletic.

Accto them, Villa tried selling Grealish to Man United/Real Madrid as a last ditch attempt from stopping City from triggering his release clause.

Some things were known. His birth parents came to Spurs training ground to try to talk to him, there was a big bust-up about it, as he is not in contact with them. Apparently they also went to the gossip tabloids to try to paint him as spoiled son who rejected his parents.

What he's talking about is far worse that what I had heard about.

These issues are never simple. For obvious reasons, they don't talk about it when they're in the spotlight every week. So when their form inevitably drops, the baying crowd blames the individual...overpaid, lazy, not a team payer, etc...
