Arguably not the greatest upset ever after all

Ipswich Town were promoted to the old Division One in 1961

Won the league the very next season.

The disparity in wealth between billionaire clubs and minnows didn't exist back then. The playing field was much more level.

Agreed but the only way to accurately judge it would be to somehow find out the betting odds from then and compare them to Leicester's.

Scenes when Leicester draw Dortmund, Napoli, and Fenerbache and finish top of the group.

Leicester's PL title > Invincibles

Congrats to Leicester. Absolutely deserved. Enjoy it!

Imagine being a Leicester fan for the past 12 months.

Go on a great run to avoid relegation and then now this season.

Brilliant.

More importantly it humiliates Wenger. No longer can he use the mega rich club excuse winning the title.

now he just uses the excuse that you don't need to spend millions to win the league

I'm very grateful to be alive to witness such a historic moment in football. It's a story that's going to be talked about for many, many years.

To think that this time last tear they were fighting for their lives to stay in the PL to where they are now is just astonishing. It's hard to wrap your head around such a turnaround but it just proves that absolutely anything is possible in football.

The whole Leicester squad has gained a lot of love and respect all over the world for this. The likes of Jamie Vardy was playing in a league above me 5 years ago and tonight he's a PL winner with the chance of still becoming the top goalscorer, that's what dreams are made of!

Congratulation Leicester City.

Congrats to this Leicester team. Just shows us everything that Wenger cannot be anymore.

I hope they go on and get to UCL semi. Maybe some WengerIns and the freaking board will grow a brain and a pair.

If Tottenham won the league i'd probably quit football... Thank you Leicester for this magical season, mostly because i wouldn't be able to bare the shame of being in a title race with Tottenham and losing it...

Also wenger, you c***, f***ing rip them apart in the summer and buy half their team...

good for them and their fans.
good for the sport that suffers from hegemony.

a true phenomenon.
i firmly believe in the mystery of team psychology in sports.
its too wild to be believed. their ex manager choking out people on the field.
the unexpected run at the end ti save them from relegation.
and continuing the run ALL this year. Vardy mahrez playing out of their skins.
electric stuff.

all this piggybacking your anti-Wenger BS has fuckall to do with anything.

( again. not defending Wenger- i believe, also, it is time for Arsenal to move on)

This was NOT our year. Our year will be when overpaid and underachieving players actually show up to play and win. We only had a handful of players show up for part of the season

Who's job is it to motivate / discipline / ship out those underperforming players? Who bought them in the first place? Who gave them contract extensions and pay rises?
