Do we need to abolish the January transfer Window?

Postby Arsenal~Fanatic » Tue Feb 02, 2016 6:00 am

When you have a look at the fact that so little business was done in this window all over Europe it begs the question as to the necessity of having a January transfer Window.

I think for the amount of noise it generates there is hardly any meaningful comes out of it. A manager should take a call if he has a squad big enough to deal with injuries, suspensions, fatigue and fixture congestion. Abolishing January window will actually help in reducing the confusion and destabilization of the squad.

I feel loan deals should be permitted throughout the year but outright transfers should be restricted to the summer transfer Window.

Chip in with your thoughts guys..

It should. Players in January are either players that the clubs don't want or players that don't want to play for the club anymore. It's just an emergency transfer window in case a team's been hit with several injuries and you're forced to buy some backup. Although that is mostly due to bad planning on the manager's part.

Abolish the January window, which will make managers think twice about signing players or not signing players.

Transfer windows should be like The Purge.

One day a year. Imagine the carnage.

And each club gets to assassinate one player per season.

Majority of the deals were loan which says a lot. Allow loan deals throughout the year but transfers only in the summer window
