The Manchester City thread

Postby Inchpräctice » Sat Aug 18, 2012 8:57 am

This is a new thread dedicated purely to one club. That shower of Arsenal-loving circus freaks oop North.

Just for you Yorky.

I'd like to put in a formal complaint.

This is obsurd! This is a Gooner's forum!

... plus we don't even like Yorky. :hiding:

This thread is less than a day old. Quite fitting really, that it has no history.

What's this I hear about City bidding for Sinclair whilst allowing Johnson to leave...?

Would rather have Johnson tbh.

He's well overrated is AJ mate. I like the lad but just won't listen to instructions.

I hear we're looking to sell him rather than loan him out.

The Sinclair thing has been going on for a few weeks now but I'm not sure how serious it all is.

I personally rate him highly. Very dangerous player and I'd have him at Arsenal.

So why do you think your club hasn't spent any money this summer yet (apart from Rodwell)?
Do they think the squad is perfect or are they just negotiating for too long?

I think there will be one more to come. Maybe 2 if players make way as well.

My opinion of it is that we're taking FFP serious unlike Chelsea or PSG.

We all know we wouldn't be at the top without the money. We had progression players like Ade, Bridge etc who wouldn't of signed had it not been for the money. They were good enough to get us on the next level but we've raised the barrier from those types now and players can actually come to City to win things rather than money being a deciding factor.

Anyway, this summer we must be at a profit with what money will of come in since May so all we have to lose on is the wages which will balence it all out.

There is a lot said about Marwood but I don't know what to take on it. Some people are blaming him for no activity. I just think our owners are not some FM12 players having a laugh and are now trying to run a business.

I've spouted on about shit really and hardly answered your question.

In my opinion, the money is over though (the stupid spending). We'll run as a normal top club and probably splash out on 1-2 big signings every summer like Man Utd do.

According to SSN City only got £5m for Adebayor.

Great use of the transfer kitty.
