Disgusting.

Disgusting club. Disgusting fans. Disgusting ownership.

A plague on football.

And they don't even need this. They already cheated for so long when it was "legal" to do so that they don't even need this. They have the most money even when abiding by current FFP rules, due the unlimited cash-injections back when FFP rules weren't a thing. They can operate within their means and still spend the most.

They know the 115 charges will be dropped. But it's never enough. It's unlimited greed.

I don't want to say how I feel about this and what I'd like to see happen to these people because I don't want to get banned.

F*ck these c*nts.

City complain that if they aren't allowed to spend their they may have to raise ticket prices or cut spending on youth development, women's football and community programmes. This statement is wrong on so many levels, and I'm going to point out just three of them.

Firstly, the financial rules, FFP and PSR alike, specifically make exemptions for youth development, women's football and community programmes. It doesn't make any sense for City to threaten to cut back on these expenditures if they aren't allowed to spend whatever they like on players. This thinly veiled threat is an attempt to make City's complaint appear to be motivated by genuine concern over their ever important charitable contributions.

Secondly, even if these expenditures weren't deductible in the FFP/PSR calculations, the complaint would lose its force. City could just as well make do with less spending on players. After all, these expenditures ought to be prioritised on the basis that they are morally upstanding, right? Moreover, City have been the most successful club in England over the last decade despite complying with the rules, or so they say.

Thirdly, the idea that City will have to raise ticket prices to spend more on players is not discriminatory. That is how every other (non-oil) club in the world needs to operate if they wish to sign better players. There's nothing unfair about the requirement for self-sufficiency just because you could afford not to. In fact, it could be argued that letting City spend whatever they like would be more unfair than imposing restrictions on everyone.

Of course, the reason City's argument doesn't make any sense is that it isn't the real reason they're doing this. City want to get rid of FFP and PSR because they don't want to play by the rules

I don’t know enough but I feel this is win win for us regardless what the outcome is. If city fail with this then the FA going to go hard on them come November.

If city win then our owner with a net worth of 16 billion might just take advantage of this. Who knows what could happen.

Nobody in their right mind wants them to win. I wouldn't want Arsenal to win by becoming one of the bad guys. Id sooner walk away. Some clubs are going to be richer than others, that's fine. But the principle that the money should come from football activities is non-negotiable. At least in theory, any club should be able to build themselves up over time through success on the pitch.

Let's not forget that Wenger had warned the PL that this would happen two decades ago.

Those were the days when pundits and media were busy calling Wenger a joker, and celebrated everytime Mourinho dunked on him in the press room.

The narrative was always about Wenger whining, not being able to accept the "free market" evolution of the Premier League.

I have no sympathy towards anyone in the PL. They saw it coming and allowed greed to taint their vision.

It's not much of a shocker to be honest. Man City are fully compliant with FFP nowadays and they can still spend the most, or at least on par with Man Utd.

It's because they've cheated their way into signing all the stars, getting all the trophies and fake sponsorship deals back when FFP wasn't a thing and now they have genuine revenue streams. A team that wins the PL almost every year, just came off a treble and has stars like Haaland + DeBruyne in it is going to make a lot of money on its own.

Basically, they've cheated so much they don't need to cheat any more. Or at least I thought that until recently. But now that they're suing it looks like almost complete dominance isn't enough. They want to turn the EPL into a one league team. They don't want to have somewhat close title races with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool, they want a 20-point gap every season.
