Manchester City could face questions from the HMRC after it was claimed they secretly doubled manager Roberto Mancini's salary by funnelling £1.75milllion into an offshore account..

City are alleged to have manipulated their wage bill by paying Mancini £1.45million as his base club salary when he joined the club in 2011, but also rewarding him even more handsomely as an adviser for another club owned by Sheikh Mansour.

The latest leaks also purport to show the huge salaries being paid by City to their players. Leroy Sane was reportedly guaranteed £24.5million over three years when he joined as a 20-year-old, while Sergio Agüero is allegedly paid £18million annually, or £346,000 a week. Ilkay Gundogan allegedly earned €11 million (£184,000 per week) last year, according to Der Spiegel.

Here dreaming of an enforced relegation into League Two as retribution (hopeless but still let a man dream).

Now that would be funny.

Really, really funny!

I think that would keep me going in terms of something to laugh at for maybe two or three months.

Hope they get relegated but as Dyna said, it won't happen. They will spend a fortune bribing everyone and shutting people up.

Italian FA had the balls to do it to Juve back in 06

Will our FA do likewise?

Financial fair play was designed for the big clubs to pull up the drawbridge and make it harder for smaller clubs to compete
Supporting one such big club is shouldn't give a f**k
But turning the league into a cartel where teams like Chelsea and man city would not be able to compete was as short sighted as this ridiculous proposal of a super league without relegation
It would turn football into Harlem globetrotter style exhibitions governed by where it could draw the biggest attendance
As a match going fan I love the fact you can be at York one week and anfield the next
It will blow over as it should

We are 4 points behind the leaders, every true fan with common sense has disregarded city from the league table.

I was talking about the possibility of
That's whats financial FairPlay was designed for
So a team like Leicester will never win the league again
All these c**** care about is money
They couldn't give a f**k about the thousands who pay through the gate up and down the country every week
You have to look beyond the end of your nose
Greed is killing football not Manchester city

Common sense said we were not winning at anfield in 89

According to FIFA rules, clubs are not allowed to make deals that make it possible for “any third party” to influence the sale of players. This rule is intended to protect players’ rights and make sure that all clubs have the freedom to make the best decisions from a football point of view. Similarly, it is not allowed to surrender a share of future sales to third parties.

In 2016, Tom Vernon signed an agreement that FC Nordsjælland may not “transfer the registration of any Player without the prior written consent of Manchester City, which Manchester City may withhold in its absolute discretion”. It also appears from the contract that Manchester City would receive 25 percent of any transfer fee, should FC Nordsjælland sell one of the the African players to a third club.

But according to the sports lawyers that we spoke to, both of these rules were violated by the contract between Manchester City and FC Nordsjælland.

The agreement from 2016 means that Mohammed Kudus, one of the greatest talents in the Danish Superliga, may transfer to Manchester City for free: City may not have to pay a penny for the 18-year-old Ghanaian midfielder. FC Nordsjælland is only entitled to a decent share of the income from the next sale, if the English club decides to sell the player again. Other Documents from Football Leaks reveal that Tom Vernon’s collaboration with Manchester City dates back to April 2010.

Top 10 player in the world this season on current form, they’re getting a lot of players around that wage bracket now though and it’s quite a dangerous position to be in

With due reference to the recent leaks, almost every top City player is getting paid 250k+ a week. Aguero earns around £350k a week apparently and that's excluding bonuses.

Now I know why Aguero turned down Real Madrid.
