Mancini paid for an ad in the MEN to thank the fans, never really liked the guy but that's quality.

Just showed a lass at work who's a city fan and he was nearly in tears! Really nice thing for him to do.

Which either suggests that there is more money than perceived up north or their crime statistics are very bad.

Very happy about this!

Adam Keyworth (prestwichblue92, @adamkeyworth on Twitter) is running the project to have an advert placed in La Gazzetta Dello Sport in response to Mancini's advert in the MEN from the City fans.

He now has an image and is waiting on a quote from La Gazzetta.

The message will be:

Il Blue non si lascia piu
You never leave the Blues

For all intents and purposes; once a blue, always a blue, which unfortunately doesn't meaningfully translate into Italian.

Hoping to be in Monday or Tuesday's paper.

New York City Football Club it is then.

Manchester City will be the majority owner of the new club.

I love how they put 'Football Club' in the name, rather than soccer.

does NY really need another team what a joke, of all the places to put a team.. NY red bulls is a "big team" in the league with all their stars and treatment from media and the league and they still can't draw a full crowd so now they need 2 teams there.. it didnt work in L.A what do they think will make it work in NY

What do MCFC and Yankees get out of this? Dosh?. I'm guessing NYCFC will have a light blue shirt with black and white shorts with pinstripes? :D

City actually own them and the Yankees are investing.

Platini is re-writing the FFP rule book as we speak.

if done right there is a lot of money that could be made.. there is a salary cap of 3.5 mill for the team so money to be made

I honestly believe our owners are about 3 steps ahead of Platini, Blatter, the media and our fans (and everyone elses).
