People trying to credit Arteta. Was her there at Barcelona and Bayern? A failed player, a failed assistant manager, and a failed future manager.

Many managers have gone into a season with lots of money to spend but none of them have come close to doing this. This season is down to Guardiola, way more than it is down to finances. Just look where he spent the money, people laugh at the amount spent of full backs but that is the point really, he didn't just look at the top 10 best attacking players in the world and said "I will have him, him and him" but rather he had a plan, bought for that plan and (naturally) had to pay a premium to get those players but didn't let that stop him.

City don't tend to spend record breaking amounts on players and they also say no to players when they ask too much, like Sanchez, so they have limits, they have sense and money. Case in point is that the 100 points were completed by Gabriel Jesus, who only cost £27m, just £3m more than Benteke.

Opta stats began in 03/04

The domestic league has never been crushed as much as it has this season. Absolutely phenomenal stuff

2017-18 Man City is officially on par with the Invincibles for me.

First club to reach 100 points in the English top division. Even 1978-79 Liverpool would have only had 98 points if wins counted for 3 points back then, and that was with 42 games.

Most points per game (2.63) in a season. Most wins (32) in a season. Most consecutive wins (18) in a season. Most goals scored (106) in a season. Best goal difference (79) in a season.

Insane.
