It's just another distraction technique.

Talk about anything other than the performance of his team.

He knew exactly what he was doing with the Southampton incident. His team were playing crap so he went over to cause an incident with their bench knowing full well that this would be the headline the next day.

Gallas was quality at Chelsea. Comfortably their best defender which is why I loved it when we got him.
