Many people doesnt seem to understand. Spurs were already extremely physical team under Pochettino. But now under Mourinho, they will make Burnley look like good boys.

Dier is definitely returning to starting XI, he is a kind of destroyer that Mourinh loves.

That's what happens when you get sacked at your last 2 jobs. In a couple of years he'll be managing Everton and cussing out Moshiri in the pressers.

Wasn't he quoted multiple times saying that he and his family prefer living in London?

Yup

Agree

Just like how Wenger could easily have been manager of Barca, Real or PSG but he preferred to work for FIFA.

Not sure if serious.

I'm not.

I'm making fun of the suggestion Mourinho could've just waltzed into a top club but chose not to by implying the same about Wenger.

Point is top teams are not interested in them anymore.

Still a trophy so let's hope not (and don't believe the papers) the contract is the same as Poch's with huge bonuses, but it's a basic of around 8m ... all Spurs staff and players are on average basics with huge bonuses ... if they want to earn they must win, not just sit on the bench and pick up fortunes. Liverpool and City have followed Spurs lead on incentivised wages we would do well to learn that lesson.

Nobody suggested that though

My bad then.

Thought you were implying he could've gone to a top team but chose to manage Spurs solely because he and his family like London.

The Spurs players, especially their defense, fits Mou playing style IMO.

On a separate note, I find it remarkable how Kane, Alli, and Ericson have avoided criticism while the Spurs have been struggling.

Only at Arsenal do individual players get slaughtered for the coach or board's incompetence.

Eriksen wants to leave. He's said as much. Alli is British. Kane is England's Golden boy.

Now, replace the trio with Ozil, Torreira, and Auba.. :hiding:

Spurs have more ambition than Arsenal.
Arsenal is a dying football club sadly.
Mid table, half empty stadiums and Europa League for the next decade.
Better get used to this.

First interview saying all the right stuff. Let’s see if he can put it into action but really think he’ll win them a trophy at minimum.

The more i think about this, the more worried i am. This Tottenham squad isn't comparable to the one at United. Plenty of quality players. Mourinho will make them challengers next season.

Theyre coming out of a roughly eight year period where theyve been consistently the best theye been for forty years

This is a golden era for them

How many trophies have they won in their golden era? How many exactly?

And you're worried?

Most of their regular squad will be gone by the summer. Eriksen is gone. Kane will get a big money move to Utd. Alli and Son will crumble under Mourinho's bullying tactics.

Who in 2020 wants to play for Mourinho given his track record of sulking and blaming everybody but himself?
