Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

:rofll: I see what you did there

This signing+ Conte + Hazard back in form puts arguably puts Chelsea as favourites for the title i reckon.

Probably a repost but eh this deserves a repost:

what the f**k.

Coqs stats where about the same if not better in 14/15 IIRC correctly, last season Coquelin played half the amount of games Kante did otherwise they'd be closer in stats, not saying Coquelin is better or anything just an observation.

Also excuse me for my incompetence buy what is a recovery?

Ball recoveries are akin to a rebound in basketball. A rebound ultimately leads a team regaining possession of the ball. Like in basketball, scoring in soccer is nearly impossible without possession. Thus, more recoveries mean more chances to score.

Rebounds and recoveries also share the unique quality of being based not only on desire but also on positioning and, once again, mental acumen. Some ball recoveries come easily; an opposing player misplaces a pass, and it goes right to a defender. However, most recoveries are not so simple in nature, especially in the busiest section of the pitch: the midfield third.

So does that not include interceptions then?

I would say interceptions are when you actively interrupt their planned pass/attack or when you retrieve the ball when someone is making a dumb dribble ala Wilshere, and recoveries I would think is more if your own teammembers make a bad pass and you retrieve the ball before it is intercepted by the opposing team.

Kante is a great player, but we have enough central midfielders. Not fussed that we didn't go in for him.

We should've gone for him but not the end of the world, it was last year we should've done it really..not now.

We need a break from central midfielders for some time now.

Wilshere, Ramsey, Xhaka, Elneny & Coquelin all have an average age of 24. Cazorla is good for two more seasons.

Fairly obvious stats tbh. Kante quite obviously superior at defensive side, same for dembele at attacking

except Kante barely wins in tackles n loses more tackles than he even wins, only one he destroys on is interceptions.

Dembele had a beast season.

Dembele had a tremendous season, but we wouldnt be able to get him anyway.

On to Kante, yeh he did lose more tackles, but when you take into consideration the role that Ranieri wanted him to establish last season, maybe it makes sense? Its always a risk :dontknow: Not saying that he shouldnt try to reform that stat though, hes only young.

bettern Coq, but at what price- i mean EXACTLY what price...

above Xhaka/Kante comment pretty spot on.

put it this way.....the further up you are in the league, the harder it is to improve. So we are talking about small margins. kante instead of coquelin....those margins can be difference between 1st or second. Also financially....are we in trouble if we buy 2-3 30 million pound players? The answer is no.....so the price for improvement is worth it
