Roster wise, the favorites are Manchester United and Manchester City.

That was said last season and those teams ended up 4th and 6th. Utd haven't signed anybody truly world class. Aside from Lukaku, their signings are actually worse than last year's.

City have replaced the defensive line that's held them up over the last 6 years or so. Mendy is young and not even close to world class just yet, and Kyle Walker is from Spurs, nuff said . Up top, Jesus isn't as good as Aguero and both are injury prone. Sterling and Sane need to boost their games by a lot to challenge for the league. Yaya Toure and Fernandinho are still pottering around. Only Bernardo Silva is a really good signing.

Aguero is still there. They replaced their shit older fullbacks, with better younger ones.

Got a keeper that can actually keep in

I'd take their squad over ours any day

Chelsea is willing to trigger the €40M release clause for Barca player Sergi Roberto.

Bertrand would be dumb to go to City to be Mendy's backup. World cup is incoming and he has a chance to be in the England squad, if he played regularly.

After he already surpassed the GDP of the Falkland Islands on fees for full backs you might be on something here..

His work at Barcelona was pretty good, and on a budget. Wasn't that bad at Bayern either

But he's pretty much trying to buy the league, and in a pretty crap way.

Had Wenger been at City, they'd be much stronger, while spending much less money

That's the shocker

City were knocked out of the Cup by Wenger btw, before someone tries to go all Pep>Wenger

Jose is a spending fraud too, but he's spending at least on different positions

Jose and Guardiola are just that, spend spend and spend, and hope your team bails you out. They are high maintenance luxury managers requiring the budget of GDP of a small country.

Pep used to be about youth at Barca, took some balls to do what he did, no other manager would have.

Since then he's spent as much as Mourinho.

Funny thing, if I had unlimited money, I'd rather even have Wenger spend it than these two frauds

Wow, we thought the same thing at the same time. Easily Wenger. If Wenger was spending this much, at least he wouldn't be spunking it all on full backs, or limited players for double what they're worth

Both spending their money on position that they need but let's be real if Maureen ever spent 130m on full backs you would be destroying him.

When you're supposed to be some guru manager it looks silly you need to spend this much on full backs, if he wins the title or cl then no one can say shit but he has to step down if he doesn't.

i think its still ridiculously stupid spunking that much on full-backs, but at least they're all relatively young options who'll be at the club for a while in their most problematic position and will get some decent fee when they inevitably get pissed off at a lack of playing time

whereas matic & perisic are both simply ok players who are nearing their 30's, would rather be in city's position than united's

Makes you realise how underrated Pellegrini was

Won a title without spending the universe, and could have won another, if City hadn't undermined him by announcing Pep halfway through.

Pellegrini wasn't exactly top tier but knew his limitations and got the squad players playing as a team without all the shenanigans of Guardiola
