Maybe because he's been awful for the best part of 2 years now save for a couple of months.

Had a good breakout season despite being thrown in at the deep end and getting absolutely roasted vs Dortmund on his debut. Since that season he's stagnated, become complacent (thanks wenger for freezing debuchy and never dropping hector) and yet still got more cocky in the mean time.

Problem is we just sold our only RWB competition so 90 games this season for Bellerin confirmed.

Imagine not including Pogba just because you love Jose and adore him, and want to put down Pep

He is injured.

So they are moving onto plan B: Peter Crouch. :dizzy:

Saw this on the BBC Gossip red button at 4 this morning, thought to myself Christ either that's a joke or they've fallen a long way.

The fans of rich clubs around the globe love to see their team being linked with big players and Chelsea fans will be over the moon to be linked with him... just browsing through his history some of the clubs he has played for - fantastic pedigree, Dulwich Hamlet, Aston Villa, fantastic.

On a serious note he has a decent goals ratio, but i'm sure there will be one or two of their young players or midfielders thinking Conte could have given them a chance.

Players like Crouch, DeFoe, Carroll .... are proven goalscorers .... not the players you want to build a team around but they will get you 10-15 goals over the next eighteen months, they will be good bench cover and cup squad members .... and here's the financial upside ....

These players have played 15 years football 90% prior to 'mega money' they've probably earned some 20m over their careers .... you can offer them 5-6m for eighteen months work, cheap for you yet a fortune to them .... even if they hardly kick a ball just passing on their knowledge and experience to your squad, it's still probably well worth it .....

Would we take a 34 year old Henry / RvP / Wright for eighteen months .... feckin' sure we would ......

A good point well made,
With Crouch being more of a in the air type player, if Chelsea get him it'll be interesting to see if they start turning into to a lump it into the box type of team, i thought Rommy Abby was rumoured to want them playing pretty football.

Onto another old face, the BBC this morning linked Manchester United and PSG with Lassana Diarra, a couple of years ago he had two free transfers to QRP fall through, so it's a shock to see going back to a top flight team from Al Jazira.
