Dzeko is a backup and is unlikely to displace their record signing Morata (who IMO is still overrated).

I like Dzeko and I wish we'd signed him in 2015 when he left City but it's safe to say that in 2018 he's here only because Chelsea pay better than Roma.

Manchester City agree club-record £57m deal for Aymeric Laporte

Wow. City's transfer panel has to be the best in the world. Sure they have all the money, but can't fault their efficiency.

Meanwhile, we tabled an improved bid of £55m for a world class striker yesterday. Would probably make it to £60m by July.

Was amazed when I saw their record signing was still KDB before this, City have spent far too much to give them too much credit but at least they do spend it well. United just blow over-inflated sums on average to good players

English transfer window opens tomorrow - Thursday, 17th May. It closes on 9th August. Only domestic transfers.

The international transfer window opens on 8th June.

bit late but we have signed Ricardo Perreira from Porto, solving a long held need for a right back, also apparently have a deal in place for Jonny Evans but his aghent wants £4m and we are bulking at that
