Someone I know who worked at the club said he was the most arrogant arsehole he's ever met.

I never took to him, he seemed full of himself.

BUT HE'S BETTER THAN RAMSEY AYE??

Was never a fan.

Career is built on fantasy based on 1 game vs Barcelona a decade ago. He's racked off with injuries. Caused a lot of his own injuries diving into unrealistic tackles. His career is over like Sturridge Not sad, its reality.

It is sad, never got the hate for Wilshere. f***ing proper English and Arsenal lad (yes I know West Ham fan as a kid) who got unlucky with injuries and probably a tad bit overrated but he did have all the promise when he first came through.

Even years after that Barca game, he was running the show for England 5/6 games in a row and looked like getting back to his best.

Definitely more talented naturally than Ramsey just the latter was able to put his injuries behind him and make a half decent career through his stamina and late runs. Obviously if you had to pick between the two over the last 10 years, everybody would pick Ramsey but that’s a pointless debate because one was injured for about 8 of those years.

Me neither, overrated, overpaid, overhyped and always injured, also proved a bit unprofessional off the pitch. Also a terrible tackler who had a tendency to dive in more times than a performing seal.

he was definitely a very very good player in his breakout season but unfortunately that was his peak. unfortunate injuries, refusal to change how he played and getting caught up in off the field antics came back to bite him in the arse

his career was hanging by a shoestring that season when he scored against city when he did that scoop and chip goal, not long later just as he lookd good again he was victim of that tackle against united. apparently that was what basically ended him tbh

I wonder if his career might have turned out different if Wenger had protected him in the same way as Guardiola has protected Foden.

Yep. Our medical staff missed a crack in his leg, Wenger allowed him to play on and that screwed him.

We mismanaged so many injuries. Cazorla's story was unbelievable and it makes you wonder what would have happened if he didn't consult someone else to find out what the heck was wrong with his foot.

Wenger also ran Cesc into the ground.

For all the talk about how revolutionary/scientific he was his player management was absymal.

Oh, pull the other one.
The only person responsible for Jack Wilshere not fulfilling his potential is Jack Wilshere.
Smoking and drinking his way through his development as a footballer.
A typical sh*t from that generation of young English footballers.
Too much money too quick and a bad attitude.
