I definitely sympathize regarding how things ended up for him, but these days I don't know if he's trying to put on a brave face or is straight up delusional about what he can get now.

He was on £4.5m/yr at Arsenal, but is training by himself in random parks. With that money, he could easily rent the facilities at a local club, or at least train regularly with some lower league team.

La Liga? Serie A? Moyes wouldn't even pick him for West Ham. 3 newly promoted clubs this year, nobody went near him.

Wilshere, who won the last of his 34 England caps four years ago, has been linked with a move to Rangers, managed by his former Three Lions teammate Steven Gerrard.

It has also been suggested he could return to Arsenal, and numerous clubs have been in contact with his agent in recent days.

Wilshere has been taking the advice of his old boss Wenger – describing him as ‘the godfather of football’.

And he revealed he is edging towards moving abroad for a new challenge, with LaLiga and Serie A in his sights, although he maintains he is ‘open to anything’.

He admitted: “I think I want to try something different – I am leaning towards that. Maybe LaLiga, Italy, something a little bit different that not many English players have done.

Wilshere did it all to himself.
He had the world at his feet and decided to be a boozing, smoking, nightclub owl.
He deserves nothing from any team and I am glad he ended up on the shelf - it's a good lesson for other footballers.

He's literally the poster child for arrogant footballers who get rich too quick and screw up their careers.

^^ The smoking didn't do him in, his muscles, bones and joints did. Sczezney did all the same stuff and is #1 for Juventus.

Goalkeeper - not the same.
Wilshere did himself in with his unprofessional behaviour.
His body gave out.

That’s nonsense J. And you know it. Guys like Diaby, Wilshere and even RVP were jinxed with body frames that were not suitable to the physicality of the highest level of the game. It’s a shame really but such is life. They still had better careers than 99% of people of take a crack at professional football.
