I love Vidal but he ain't done well this season, Lahm with a broken leg is better than 90% of full backs anyway.

Pogba, really? I know i don't like him at all, god, he's overhyped!

Can't think of many CM's who have been as good as he has. I think he's a wonderful talent, his technique is impeccable.

Rakitic is a much better player for a start, Verratti, Modric (i now he's been injured) Koke,

I think Pogba is just a fancy haircut and a good player who's hyped because he scores the odd wonder goals from 30 yards. i think it's more the players around him than anything, i watched him against Fiorentina the other day with a fringe squad, no injured Pirlo there and he didn't do anything.

I love Verratti too and I think he will be an unbelievable talent, same with Koke. But I think the potential ceiling for Pogba is unreal; he can become everything Vieira was and more.

He's one of the most underrated players in the world for me. He bossed Chelsea's midfield twice this season and since then more people have stood up and taken notice of him. I fully expect there to be a lot of interest in him this summer.

I would. Alaba's the best left-back in the world.

There, a little correction to make your post better. :)

Rest of the world XI:

Neuer

Lahm T.Silva Boateng Alaba

Schweinsteiger Modric

Robben Messi Ronaldo

Suarez

From the Premier league, there's not a single player I would pick ahead of those guys, thats at strong as it gets in my opinion.

However the premier league has a lot better quality in depth than the Bundesliga and La Liga in my opinion. Of course the Premier League is struggling for TOP players, we have done for a while now but it's still the best and most entertaining league in the world despite the poor showings that some of the bigger clubs have put on this season.

Tbf to the Premier League Di Maria would make that first XI based on last seasons form, and Suarez was a PL player when he earned any right to be called the no. 1 striker. Also, if you play Messi and Ronaldo out wide then the top 3 strikers (aguero, Suarez and Benzema) would have 2 PL players.

Defensively we are weak but if you base it on 2014 form then Azpilicueta has an outside chance (albeit better than Alba at least).

At CM we are weak but based on early 2014 form Yaya was the best in the world and based on late 2014 Fabregas had a shout as well. Matic's 2014 form also means he has a chance

Like someone else said if you take Neuer out then the top 2 would be PL (De Gea and Courtois).

AM based on 2014 only Silva would have a chance.

Problem is that most of these players have dropped form recently, which is unfair to judge them for because the PL always loses quality as we are the only league that doesn't take a winter break. If you base it on 2014 we aren't that weak

It's not the strength of the top teams that makes the Premiership the best league, it's the strength of the bottom ones.

There's not a signle player playing here now that would make the world eleven.

13th of May 2012 Arsenal beat West Brom 3-2 to finish 3rd ahead of Newcastle. Gooney is still yet to leave the forum...

That's an urban myth.

FFS, Chelsea have lost only 2 games all season. Barcelona and Real both lost 5 I think.

lols @ alba, i think some of you made a spelling mistake xx

also would probs have Matic over Schwein with Modric next to him. Also maybe Terry at CB, think people massively underrate him because he's a cock. Azpili would be on my bench, outside of Chelsea, Aguero and Sanchez though the prem has lesser players.

De Gea > Neuer this season.

Aguero or Suarez is also extremely close - Sergio is definitely the better "striker".

@ Sims

Pogba cannot surpass Vieira. He is too lazy defensively and nowhere near as mobile.

He surpasses Vieira's ability on the ball though, and he has the same dominating presence. His pace needs working on but if he keeps progressing at the speed at which he is now I have no doubts that he could win a Ballon D'Or. Defensively it should come with age but like Vieira he should always be played alongside a more defensive partner.

His presence isn't anywhere near Vieira's. Patrick was a colossus.

Fabregas and Scholes had superior ability on the ball to Vieira, doesn't make them better. Vieira had the warrior mentality, leadership, defensive ability, stature and technical skill - the best CM I've seen.
