According to Rooney, Ox had no idea who Overmars was. Not surprising at all.

Not surprising because he'd have been 4 years old when we signed him. As a kid he was a Liverpool fan.

If that's true you shouldn't be worried about what a 26 year old footballer knows.

Liverpool trying ox as a false 9. Terrible idea. He needs to get out of there. Move to a smaller club and get a crack at that CM role he craves.

The only things that are going to get a crack are his bones, tendons, ligaments and muscles.

The guy is a walking injury.

OX at his best here was playing as a winger/wingback

Bring him home.

He can be employed in that RB/CM role Arteta likes so much.

Why would you want to spend money on a walking injury , who would view returning as failure and would never be as motivated as he was in the past.

Far better to spend that money on youngsters and hope we unearth and ESR or Saka.

Best sale of the Wenger era. Let's not ruin that fine legacy.

From what we've seen of Arteta, he doesn't seem to like attack-minded midfielders. He usually deploys two DMs/DLPs alongside ESR. He didn't even want a CAM before results started going topsy-turvy for him.

Thomas-Xhaka, Elneny-Thomas/Xhaka, etc. That FA Cup run was the only time he used Ceballos and Xhaka in the middle. That was in a 3-4-3.

Of course, that's not to say we should bring Chamberlain back. He's better left where he is.
