Usually would agree but he's been trash this season when he should be staking a claim in whatever minutes he gets.

Fluffed a chance vs Forest (shit championship level) to put us 1-0 up and generally not looked good.

This.

Its true he has done way more for the club than either of them put together.

However I do think his time here has come to an end.

Thats about his level

Theo Walcott (14)

At one point (a long time ago), he looked like he might become one of the greats.

He is still a good player, has done well for us until the last few seasons, and is much better than a lot of the dross we have in the squad. The public perception of him is rather affected by his inordinate salary. But, whether through his fault or Wenger’s or a bit of both, he is through at Arsenal. Putting an end to it sooner rather than later is the right thing to do.

I wish him a better time at Everton, though hopefully not against us.

For me, Walcott will forever be associated with the “almost” generation at Arsenal: Wilshere, Ramsey, Walcott, Coq, and a few others - who never quite made it to the level they occasionally looked like they might belong at or who, having made it, left for other clubs because we did not show enough ambition. He is the epitome of what will hopefully prove to be Arsene’s final failed project to construct a new core of our team.

For this reason, I will feel some sentimental sadness at his departure, though it’s the right thing to do. Assuming all the mooted transfers out happen, this transfer window is starting to feel a little bit like the passing of an era.

Walcott got caught between the two Wenger eras. In The first half of Wenger's reign he'd often say give me an athlete and I'll turn him into a footballer. Walcott would have been an effective successor to Overmars and Ljunberg on that right flank. But then Wenger switched to tiki taka. Highly technical short passing attacking midfielders spread all around the park. That was the death sentence for Walcott. No way was he going to fit that system. He should've left years ago but he likes the comfy life in London.

Are we haggling for that extra £1.2m? Or, is Wenger being a pain in the ass of Sanllehi?

He's gone.

Allardyce is really keen, apparently Bournemouth and Southampton are in as well but Walcott won't likely go back to Southampton and B'mth have no chance, its Everton's.

If theo leaves this window, it will be the start of the Change at Arsenal.
