No no, according to some, the people involved with the financial side of the club, in this case transfers know what they are doing !!!!!

It is clearly Kroenke's goal to lose as much money as possible in as short a timeframe as possible, how else can you explain our extraordinarily bad performance when it comes to out assets since Arteta took charge :dontknow:

Good luck to Leno. Edu coming up short £-wise doesn't mean this keeper wasn't worth more.

Another one of Ach's poster boys gone.

Only Pepe left now.

What a waste, the German number 2 and we let him go cheap to relegation fodder just because Enos insisted we bring in some useless Yank.

It highlights multiple poor decision making by Arteta and Edu

Mistake 1 - Selling Martinez instead of Leno in 2020/21, it was bloody obvious that Martinez was the better keeper
Mistake 2 - Trying to get Leno to play out from the back when it was obvious he was shite at it
Mistake 3 - Not admitting to mistake 1 and not selling Leno after the 2020/21 season when his stock was still reasonably high
Mistake 4 - Buying Ramsdale and pushing Leno to be Number 2 keeper which effectively killed his value
Mistake 5 - Buying Turner before selling Leno. This effectively told the world we have a backup keeper and don't need Leno, so further reducing his value

Martinez was so clearly better than Leno it was ridiculous and I like Leno more than most. We can only sell to teams that actually bid but we should have been fielding offers for Leno, not Emi. Mistake 1 would have preempted 2-5.

Martinez had one good month in 10 years for us

He wasn't better than Leno lol

He then had a great first 6 months for Villa which made most think we made a mistake. Then he went back to normal

It's the long game and getting the money we did for a second choice one month wonder was great business

We then go mess that up by letting Leno go for peanuts

Leno, 30yo, 10 years of experience in first-division European football - £8m

Matt Turner, 28yo, under 200 league appearances, never played outside America - £6m

How bad is Runarrsson that we're pinning our Europa League hopes on this old Yank?

There’s no guarantee he’ll ever play.

Ramsdale is young and fit, he might play every match

In answer to your questions……Runnarsson cost £1M. Turns out he’s about as good as a £1M keeper. Leno was never going to stay as number 2, we made that choice when Ramsdale was promoted. It’s still the right choice

Turner? No idea. We’ll find out soon enough
