It aint rocket science.

This forum has the memory of a goldfish, so this has to be said over and over again:

Giroud left for first team football. He wasn't unfairly chased out as so many seem to think. Chelsea shifted Batshuayi and gave us a 50% profit to get Giroud.

He wasn't able to make any inpact, so Chelsea paid another £18m to get Higuain.

How some people are taking this as an indication that we should be bringing him back is beyond me. We are not the ones missing Giroud. It's him who's missing the players and system that helped him get 100+ goals.

He’s 32, he’ll be 33 not long after the start of next season

If he still wants first team football by then, fair play. But he’s most likely settled in London, if he’s fine with taking a back seat role in his twilight years at his favourite club then I wouldn’t mind him here on decent wages

So it's the former then.

So why are people saying get him?

Go look at his league goals tally then come back to me.

If he were at AFC he'd of been crucified.

Auba has scored almost 30 goals and people say he's sh*t.

Contributed 834 minutes to a team that finished 3rd in the EPL, and 11 goals to the team that won a European title ... a solid team player with 14 goals and 8 assists from just 19 starts ... is that what you were alluding to?

don't forget his World Cup winners medal as well ....

Giroud haters having to suck it up ... and they clearly don't like that

There is a video out there of Giroud celebrating with his Chelsea buddies holding the Europa League Cup saying 'Thank you, Arsenal' and laughing his ass off.

Not the best but certainly not the worst. We should have kept him a while longer, the super sub.

Don’t be bitter. Giroud is a vastly underrated striker. Holds the ball well, scores big goals and has an extremely good touch when it matters.

His world cup winners medal? where he featured every game up front and didn't score 1 fkin goal?

14 goals, he'd of been slaughtered here if he only scored 14 goals and rightfully so, Auba just won the Golden boot.

Also your out is "solid team player" I'm judging him as a 1st choice ST because that what he was here, Chelsea just knew he wasn't so used him right ........... as a back up striker.

Even I would say he's not a bad back up striker compared to the likes of Welbeck .......... but Wenger had him as our no1 and a player who he tried to reject buying Auba for so apples and oranges.

Guy scored like 3 goals last season, again, easy to brush that aside when he's in another team, we can't afford a striker blanking every game of the season.
