Even if you accept your fatuous "Wenger tapped him up and polished him into a world class front man"

Then what an absolute c*** that Wenger bloke must have been to sell him, on the cheap, to an EPL rival who then finished above us .... is that the point you were trying to make? that Wenger was a clueless c***?

Mislintat sold him. The prick.

.......... then he did us all a favour.

This what I mean, Giroud for some strange reason is getting praise ........... yet he's not even scored this whole tournament.

Only at Arsenal are "some" of our fans so dumbed down that we continue to praise a striker who doesn't even score.

He's only scored 3 goals since he fkin left Arsenal in JANUARY!!!!!!!!, this is crazy behaviour, some of you have simply lost the plot.

Since giroud left
Welbeck 6
Ramsey 8
Lacazette 8
Aubamayang 10

I hope and pray that's its the last we see of Wenger in them. Some got rid of him quickly when he left, others are finding it harder and hold on to his ways longer. The ways of strikers who don't score, midfielders who don't assist, keepers who cant keep are all Wenger ways that have been drilled in to our fanbase and some accepted it.

It takes time to get them off it

So then how is he the starting center forward for France going into the semis? Even though they have Laca, Benz and Martial. How is it that he benched Morata and Chelsea aren’t even in the market for a CF?

Cos Deschamps is an idiot? No one likes him and he captained them to a world cup so you must be a pretty bad c*** to get people against you.

He puts personal feeling ahead of whats best for the team. Not one person anywhere ever thinks Giroud is better than Benzema yet Giroud continues to fail at that level as we saw 2 years as France for the first time ever hosted and didn't win a tournament.

Not troubling anyone here either. Thank f**k for Mbappe

Haters have completely lost the plot.
Said he was not good enough for Arsenal and he walked in to the Chelsea starting 11.
Said he wouldn’t go to the WC and he’s leading the line.
Said he doesn’t score goals but he’s the fourth highest goal scorer in French history and scored 100 goals for Arsenal.
Said his style sucks and he bagged goal of the season with a scorpion kick.

I pity the fools.

Benzema starter for Real, winning the CL 4 times

Giroud failure at Arsenal and Chelsea

Benzema played for France in a time where they were absolute shit with shit players.

In this side he would score for fun. Same side Giroud continuously is awful with

Nice excuses fella of ifs and buts. Fact is giroud has outscored benzema for France. Deal with it or don’t.

The NT comparison should be betw Giroud and Laca. Benzema isn't even in the squad and will never come back after the sextape scandal. The French NT is highly politicized too and it's an unspoken rule to have a balance between white, black and Arab players. As such, 'bad boys' like Benzema, Anelka and Nasri eventually get kicked out because they disrupt team harmony.

To his credit, Giroud is a good team player, and he was for us as well. I'm glad to have Laca as a replacement, because unlike the French NT, we do not have insanely talented forwards like Mbappe and Griezemann that can pick up the slack.

As long as Giroud remains effective at headers and makes the right passes/flicks to the better goalscorers in the team, he should absolutely start for France.

People have lost their f-ING minds. Giroud is the fourth highest goal scorer in French football history. Tied with Zidane and behind Trezeguet (who he will overtake with three more goals), Platini and Henry. His goals to games ratio is only second to Henry. He has a 0.4 ratio which is outstanding no matter who you are.
How can anyone say he’s not prolific for France? What more does this guy have to do?

Agreed. I would prefer Lacazette as an Arsenal striker, but Giroud might have done better if we have better forwards than Iwobi, Walcott & Welbeck. Sanchez was good in his time here, but I don't think we can say that he is a team player.
Wenger might be wrong and Deschamp might be an idiot, but what about Conte? He used Giroud as the starting CF in the last few months of the season.

Conte is starting Giroud because he has no choice. He chased off Diego Costa in favour of Morata who turned into Chelsea era Torres within months. He also binned Batshuayi for reasons known only to him.
