Olivier Giroud

Guy was a hate figure last season so it's been nice to see him become more appreciated round these parts. He seems to have upped his game this year and his scoring record has been very respectable this season - 6 in 11 league appearances with a goal every 100 minutes or so. I think the competition from Welbeck has done him good.

Not the world class striker we need but the striker we deserve.

As people may have known i was one of his critics last year but even before today's game i have maintained he looks a lot more sharper, efficient and clinical in front of the goal after coming back from injury. Not just his goals his overall play has gone up a few notches. He brings a totally new dimension to our play allows us to hold the ball up front and bring others in to play.

Why can't he use his own hand?

He's always done the holding up thing but he's certainly seemed to have removed a lot more of the frustrating elements of his game this season. Far more clinical and better with the ball at his feet. A couple of times today he took a great touch to just pluck the ball out of the air.

Dude you can bet I use my hand

Yep,
Thought he was fantastic today, and you make a good point about Wellbeck maybe upping his game.
Thought he was decent enough last season, albeit limited, but has defo upped his game.

holds the ball better than welbeck and will score more too
we defo miss him when he's out of the side and is one of our best starting 11
