That ridiculous rule to stop Auba playing in the Europa was the main thing and thankfully that won't be a problem again as it's been demolished.

Always thought that rule was silly. Is it really gone?

Without the sale of Giroud, PEA wouldn't be here. PEA is better, and hopefully we'll see that in the coming season.
Giroud has grown on me in the last couple of years, but thinking he would have made a difference yesterday is pure delusion. We've had him go up against Barca, Bayern, Monaco, and other teams in the CL over the years and he didn't work any miracles there.

One player can't compensate for the lethargy of the other 10 on the pitch.

Giroud scored many winning goals for us .all of a sudden he can score goals. You never know i think with him we would have gone to the final. Against atletico our dumb players crossed the ball often it would have been ideal for giroud because he is the best in the world with Headers.

Giroud coming off the bench is a good option in games like yesterday
Raya/Ramsdale
White/Tomiyasu--Saliba/Timber--Gabriel/Kiwior--???/Zinchenko
???/Jorginho
Odegaard/Smith Rowe----Rice/???
Saka/Jesus-------------------Martinelli/Trossard
???/Havertz

You know Lacazette has outscored Giroud in their respective first seasons at Arsenal?

Like fish in a barrel.

This is why I'm glad he got sold, certain fans at AFC have wasted way too much time and energy protecting an average striker, why I'll never know.

But I'm relieved its over, now we can move on and cater for PEA and Lacazette because the former can be a top class striker for us and the latter a definite improvement on any 2nd choice we've had here for a long time.

Granted the season is not over yet and he is well capable of but so far laca has 9 goals in the league to Giroud 11, giroud also got 7 in all other comp for us that debut season.

:rofll:

Lacazette on to 14, two behind Giroud's best ever season, despite rarely getting the whole 90, being injured for two months and adjusting to a new league. :rofll:

Arsenal earned more in this Europa League Campaign than United did in their Champions League campaign.
