good for him. he has been consistent contributor for country.

sure,he has limitations. but he was never as bad as all the grief and bile GW directed at him.

I guess the question must be asked, if someone as awful as Giroud can get 100 caps and score 42 goals, how many would someone like Laca get in 100 caps if deschamps wasn't an idiot?

I think late 50s at least and he'd actually do something in a World Cup rather than be a passenger.

Giroud must thank benzema for being an idiot for the rest of his life.

:naughty:
Giroud got 2 assists at the World cup. And you’re acting like there isn’t a reason why the France coach didn’t drop him. Giroud is a very good target man and is good with link up play. Still has a better goal ratio than Benzema at international level.

Basically like Podolski for Germany, but the again Podolski was deadly for Germany at international tournaments until 2010 or so.

Anways Kylian Mbappé has now scored 15 goals in 36 senior caps for France at the age of 21 years old.

Even if Big Oli Giroud does end up France top scorer and breaks Thierry Henry's record..lol. he might not have it for long :lipssealed:

No he didn't. He didn't score and he got one assist. Didn't even have a shot on target.

He was f***ing awful. Fortunately he was carried by mbappe and griezmann.

12 games in a row without scoring a goal with the worlds best playmaker behind him in our only proper feasible chance of winning a title last decade

LOL what....They wouldn't, Big Oli brought out the best in Mbappe, and griezmann. No world cup without him

For example. France started with Dembele first game. But when Giroud came in it freed up Griezmann and Mbappe to shine.

Even though Mbappe is amazing and can adapt to different systems but he benefits from Giroud, he's said it, griezmann says it, hazard said it. Perhaps listen to the footballers rather than 'he didn't score at the world cup' people ffs.

France system has a target man, he's their best

Laca is overrated. We need to dump him next summer and buy a top CF or see whether John Jules is ready. Laca is Lyon level.

Ah yes, when he scored 3 in 3 and then Freddie decides f**k you, you’re on the bench for the next two games. Classic player management.

After that, 9 games without a goal including the FA cup.

Giroud is the 2nd highest goal scorer for France - in their history - scoring more goals per game than Henry.
Anyone who thinks Giroud is not a very good striker is simply not being objective.

At league level, I think Laca is better, but it's close.
