3 PL goals in 27 appearances in 18/19

0 goals in 7 appearances in WC 2018

11 goals in EL vs:

- Arsenal (1) (excellent header tbf)
- Slavia Prague (1)
- Dynamo Kyiv (3)
- Malmo (2)
- Vidi (1)
- PAOK (2)
- BATE (1)

Literally the same Giroud we've always known. Can do it when the opposition is trash. Won't stop people begging for him to come back though.

It's disrespectful from a former Arsenal player that some fans still cheer on. Hopefully our fans rethink cheering and singing him on the next time he arrives at the Emirates.

Better than our fans' usual get up of booing ex players like small time plebs.

Giroud helped us win 3 FA Cups and shouldered the CF job by himself for years all the while taking a lot of criticism because he was our no.1 when he should've been our no.2, but that's Wenger's fault not his.

He carried a heavy load.

He also only joined Chelsea because he wanted to maximize his chances of making the 2018 WC.

He deserves to have his name sung.

dude has a knack in these B competitions. props to Ollie. Always like him and rooted for him. Sure, he's not and never was gonna be like RvP or Henry....

Giroud in finals > Henry in finals

Iwobi in finals > Henry in finals tbh.

Amen.

We've got some sh*t dumb fans tbh, they're pumping a guy who's laughed at our club even when we gave him every advantage well beyond what he deserved ............ and to top it off his record in the last 3 seasons is fkin horrendous.

Our fans are a disgrace.

You'd think they were backing Messi or Ronaldo the way they stick up for Giroud, like he even deserves it.

How can one club have so many divs as fans? I'm really starting to wonder, they deserve Kroenke, they're embarrassing.

Lets be clear here he is a decent backup option, know way he be starting for chelski if they be in the top 2. They were so desperate they signed him. He works hard and can be a good sub as a starter he is not good enough, most of his goals came in the EL which is shit teams maybe apart from the semis . he got what 2 or 3 in the leauge, that shit would not fly here and when he was here everyone said he was not good enough. I likie him as a backup but that is it. He could not score in the wc ffs. Some piss poor teams in that

Giroud was an amazing player for us and did nothing wrong

Postby Jack The Ripper » Wed Jan 01, 2020 2:23 am

One of our biggest mistakes was selling Giroud for such little money, it seems so harsh. I miss the guy, Giroud scored more goals than Laca, Giroud also held the ball up much better too, he was a great and very underrated goalscorer for us.

Giroud is very underrated, he is one of the best headers of the ball in the prem, possibly even in the whole of Europe, he is tall 6'4'' but he actually has a very good jump/spring too, he is not just tall, he actually has a very good jump. I felt like he was a very solid player for us and did nothing wrong to be let go so easily.

Giroud is better than Laca and that is a fact, scored more goals and just did much more in general than that fatty Laca,..who has such a surly personality and is always cheating and pretending he is hit in the face. We miss you and love you Giroud! We're sorry.

We should bring Giroud back. Not as a starter but as a player coming off the bench. He would give us another option when we are chasing a goal. He’s not prolific by any means but he is able to bring other team mates into the game and help create chances. He physically still has a few good years left in him.

We should never have sold him, he was a good back up.

Meh.

He was a good player for us and served his purpose. The issue was that he remained our numero uno CF for nearly 5 years. That was unacceptable. Wenger tried converting Walcott into a CF and Alexis played as our CF in his penultimate season. He should have never been the main man. Shame because he was a good servant of the club.

From Wrighty, Anelka, Henry, and van Persie, we sunk to Grioud's level. We still have Auba today—another world class CF. Wouldn't be wrong in stating that Giroud is our worst starting striker of the last 30 years.

Rose tinted glasses. He was average and fell on the floor a lot. His hold up play was shite.

Awful striker who only ever scored in short bursts and had long barren spells without a goal. Can't believe this guy was our number 1 for so long, no surprise to have seen him totally flop at Chelsea as he was very overrated at Arsenal.
