Keane would be number one for me, his overall influence to influence a game, galvanise his team, scare opposition, refs is unparalleled in pl history, he ran things for 10 years.

To say Diaby could've become that is incredible hyperbole.

He was a better dribbler than Vieira, but so was Wilshere.

No one has ever had Vieira's combination of size, physicality, athletiscm, grit, technique, mental strength and iq.

He is a one-off.

Never really know about the last 2 but when fit diaby had all of the others.

Anyway we'll never know what could've been, he was just the only player since Vieira who looked like he could even come close. Game was completely different anyway and Vieira and Keane would both be banned every 2 weeks these days.

I maintain my point, Diaby had the size, physicality, skill and passing to be better than Vieira, perhaps he didn't have the determination of Vieira but as Santi said we will never know. He had a few games where he bossed the game from the deep lying role. If you fail to see the Vieira comparison you clearly didn't watch the player enough.

England striker Danny Welbeck, 28, will be released by Arsenal when his contract expires at the end of the season and will be offered the chance to join Galatasaray. (Mirror)

Nah, he'd be perfect for West Ham or Newcastle. Neither Pellegini nor Benitez can say no to a free right now and Wlebeck is better than most at that price point lol

Welbek is a good footballer and he had a good start to the season, but what is worth it when he can not bundle a month or two good football without getting hurt. I think it's more realistic to end up in Turkey than West Ham.

He'd be better off in Spain where it's less physical

There are a lot of rough games in Spain, but compared with England it is much more blessed.
