Pogba and paddy are different, pogba is more attacking but in terms of being such a dominant player he could replicate paddy, lukaku like dorgba will never be on henrys level but he can score a load of goals and be a talisman like henry, the way his started it looks like he might.

Lampard and drogba would prob be a better comparison though.

Pogba works best in a CM partnetship with a DM (eg Matic). IMO Xhaka would work best if he had a DM next to him.

Vieira worked best with a DM (Gilberto/Petit) next to him.

The similarity between Vieira, Pogba and Xhaka is that all three are best as the more forward thinking player in a two man central midfield.

Wenger seems intent on proving you don't need a DM and pretending that Xhaka is one. He isn't, neither is Cazorla. This 'deep lying playmaker' stuff doesn't win titles. Players like Kante win titles!!!

You watch Pogba thrive next to Matic, if you give Xhaka a Matic type next to him he'd be much better. He needs 3 CBs behind him if he's playing next to Ramsey.

Back on the invincibles comparison, which of the XI positions would best suit Pogba? Betgkamp's #10? Possibly. Gilberto's DM? NO! The more attacking CM position Vieira had next to Gilberto. It is perfectly fine to compare them. I'm not saying Pogba is as good yet, he still has to work on the defensive aspects of his game imo, but I think he could be seen as a vieira type in thr future.

Just like Vieira next to Gilberto and Yaya next to Fernando/Fernandinho I think Pogba will thrive next to Matic and become a top CM!

Lukaku better than Drogba? No.

Drogba is the best big-game player in Prem history. His impact on games was unparalleled much like Bergkamp for us—even if he didn't score goals or wasn't as prolific as others. It's like saying Andy Cole was better DB10.

Drogba wouldn't have suited Real Madrid or Barca because he was a different type of attacker. For Chelsea, there wasn't a player more pivotal than him because he epitomized Chelsea's robust philosophy.
