Has looked dangerous so far in 2 games.

Will only get better.

Whilst we have Sanogo and Welbeck.

There is no if about afobe though his a very good player I can't believe we sold him for the price we did, even by Wenger's standard I am beyond perplexed.

well yeah but you don't know how players adapt. his goalscoring record isn't exactly spectacular, even in the last two seasons. I doubt he'd be able to make the jump to a CL challenging club anyway. Would be decent backup though I guess

His 22 his a beast finisher when I said buy afobe in the summer it was because of the variation of his goals, anyalsing his goals compared to giroud his variation was miles better in terms of scoring on either foot, was his first touch inside or outside the box before he scored it absolutely shat over giroud. Giroud Is good at what he is and improved a lot but afobe is a proper striker he was at arsenal from six he had a proper education.

Should never have been sold, can't be argued.

he had massive injury issues at us and never really impressed anywhere on loan, it was probably the right thing to do if we didn't have Sanogo starting games against Bayern Munich

If Wenger sold him in summer 14 fair enough you could make that point but he loaned him and started scoring goals he sold him once he started doing well. Why loan him then isn't a loan to see if a player can improve and then bring him back. Of course a loan can be used as a shop window to show a player off and sell but we sold him for 2m that is f**k all, if we waited we could have got a lot more.

He had a bad injury it took him time to recover, Wilshere has had far worse problems and his on 110k.

Apparently Arsenal weren't sure about his injury and wouldn't renew his contract so had to sell

And I think comparing Wilshere to Afobe is a bit of a stretch in terms of the massive gap in quality

Said at the time we let him go, he was the best finisher we had at the club. A striker with natural finishing ability is usually going to do well, let him do his thing at Bournemouth and we can laugh at Wenger later.

The value we got was the terrible part, 6 months later Wolves had bids of 10m.
