Good luck to him, not the worse defender we have had, as a squad player he was decent

The amount of money we’ve outlayed or lost since Arteta arrived is ridiculous.

Yeah, they're giving credit to Arteta for things the contract cycle was already taking care of.

Would we credit Emery for dumping Jenkinson, Wilshere and Welbeck? No, because those players' deals had run out anyway.

Pretty soon we'll be hearing about how Tets was personally responsible for shifting out Nketiah this summer. Despite his own admission that he wanted to keep him.

We got White, Holding, Gabriel and noone else, dont say Rekik either.

Tomiyasu and Tierney have a combined 100+ appearances as CB at senior level. With only one competition to focus on between now and the summer, we should be fine numbers-wise.

Tierney would be awful in a back 4, Tomi would be alright but then if he covers there we have cedric at right back and nobody else.

Dumb and dumber need to get a cb and cdm and a st before this window shuts.

Signing him and Holding on the cheap when we needed a proper CB held us back for years.

At 27 he's going to Villa as a squad player. That tells you all you need to know.

I thought he did extremely well for us when asked to step up. I can’t be easy to just slot into the team with very few games under your belt and play well. He never let us down and the only plus in this situation, is the freeing up of the wage bill.

I would have preferred to have kept Chambers over Holding because he can play CB, RB and DM. But it is time for Chambers to move on if he wants regular game time. It's something he didn’t and won't get here at Arsenal. Good luck to him.

Holding is not long for the squad either - he'll be sold if as we hope Saliba comes back to Arsenal in the summer.
I still maintain that apart from some of the young players, ALL Emery's and Wenger's players need to be pushed out.

Undoubtedly better than 30 year old, bang average Soares.

Bad sale IMO.

There is talk that this may be a sweetener for Douglas Luiz coming the other way, won't mind too much if that's the case.

Having deadwood is better than having nobody if we get a defensive injury and/or a suspension and have to play Xhaka there.

Arsenal forgot to activate a clause in Chambers contract to extend his deal for an extra year. Clause expired 31 December and would have allowed Arsenal more control and influence over the transfer fee. Clubs previously willing to pay close to £10m including add-ons last summer.
