also they will 100% ask AW for input on his replacement no matter what they say

Had he been English I'm not saying he'd have been a guaranteed starter but he would have notched up 40-60 caps

To be fair, midfield is traditinally where Spain has enough world class players to fit three different rosters... On the other hand guys like Aduriz, Nolito and Morata do get caps in more advanced roles.

Don't get me wrong, that England team is still shit ;)

Peak Arteta would have been golden for this English side. He has the technique, distribution, and mentality.

Out of the young lot, he's the one who I can envision as a top manager in coming years.
