Spurs have extended their stadium loan to £500million to cover the rising costs of the delayed construction.

Senior sources close to the stadium build have confirmed the club has extended their line of credit by £100m to cover rising costs.

If the club were to draw the full £500m loan facility, it would give the club the biggest debt of any club in Europe.

According to this year's UEFA Club Licensing Benchmarking Report, Manchester United currently has the highest net debt among European football clubs, standing at £487m.

He can't, HMRC will be all over that. It's pretty public too so they'll be watching hard.

Best bet is to go back to the council to plead poverty buy they won't give a f**k, the deals signed and the scum have to pay up.

Good for us though. The players they werent planning to sell may well have to be sold now and wave goodbye to actually decent signings.

The financial giants will be testing the waters soon enough...

Kane to Real next summer for 200m takes care of nearly half of that debt so it won't be that bad.

Alli to United for another 100m

Then they'll only (lol) have 200m debt and a shite team with hopefully no CL football.

From an HMRC stand the more Spurs can 'show' they've spent on the new stadium the less tax they will pay .... Levy will probably have them running at an accounting loss for years ... HMRC will get very little ....

Problem with your thinking is that Spurs will soon be one of the financial giants ...

Just 10 years ago their income and our income were miles apart - we made nearly double what they did 263m v 132m ... next season we will with luck hit 500m yet we will find the Spuds could be on very nearly the same ... they've been playing catch-up for a decade, sadly they are almost there ....

So you're saying they'll have a shiny new stadium that saddles the club with debt and little recourse to attract world class players in at least the short to medium term?

Indeed and how long before they are back in it if they miss out this season on the top four and have no money for new signings. That stadium could become a millstone around their necks.
