He did it to spite arsene, to symbolically 'outmuscle' city financially and also as a desperation move to improve their play for the PL.
All they've succeeded in doing is capturing an aging winger who is declining physically but on massive wages, all while effectively forcing out a top player in his prime.
Martial will 100% leave now hes been parred from NT and they'll have a player who can't rely on his physicality as much anymore, which is detrimental to what makes him a great player.
Lol
This.
Man U hurt them selves in a number of ways by aquiring Sanchez.
1) His performance has been a disappointment. When you factor in the wages it has been utterly disappointing.
2) He has pushed Martial out once he arrived just based on the signing. Man U were doing better with Martial than with Sanchez. Sanchez actually made their team worse.
3) He has pushed Martial out permanently. Sanchez and Jose cost Martial WC spot. He is going to hold a grudge.
4) Sanchez is already getting into arguments with his teammates. He is a difficult guy to play with. Man U fans have noticed that he bitches and complains when they mess up or don't give him the ball but then he losses the ball 10 times a match himself. He definitely has hurt their team chemistry with his play as well as with his attitude.
5) His massive wage is going to destroy that team even further. Everyone will want to negotiate with those numbers as benchmark. If they are not paid on par then they are going to find Sanchez's attitude even more unbearable and get into it with the management.
Sanchez has been a big flop so far for them. No sugar coating it.
