Not a bad player at all. We don't have to play Ozil or Wilshere on the wing anymore.

I don't know why you hate this idea of versatility so much.

Drmic won't be one, that's for sure. He is off to Leverkusen. I doubt Benzema is a realistic option, either.

As for Sanchez. The guy has blistering pace and he would be nice but again, how realistic is it?

More likely is Loic Remy and Joel Campbell, tbh.

It's not hating versatility, but I would love it that we signed a player and played him in his position. If we sign Reus play him as a LW. We seem to buy players who can play lots of positions, which is great for versatility, but it also means a player might never get used to one position (A la Cazorla)

We have too many players whose best position is 'in the hole'.

Ozil, Wilshere, Cazorla, Rosicky, Chamberlain and to a lesser extent Podolski and Walcott, would all say that their best position is in the hole behind a main striker.

That is my problem.

We lack width for that reason.

A signing good for depth but will not solve our Striker problem. if he is our only signing up front then i would be majorly disappointed. We need an alround natural striker with the experience of leading the line alone and not somebody who is a joker in the pack. Sanchez is good player but he will add to our options where we already have options but will not do anything about plugging the Striker shaped hole up front.

Walcott/Chambo/Poldi may or may not say that but when they play wide they undeniably provide width. First few I agree with
