Why is he just rapping Jay Z's lyrics though?

What's the point?

I thought they would at least be his own.

Jay Z has built a career on "sampling" (ripping off) other artists

Rappers never get called out for it. It's just accepted while rock acts are pilloried for it

Jay Z is a rip off merchant

Jay Z probably the most overrated rapper of all time.

Sampling is usually the purely on production rather than lyrics

Some sampling is an art, Madlib is a genius with using samples in his beats

It’s more than just merely using someone’s work and slapping it in yours. Death grips’ exmilitary also has a tonne of excellent sample usage

All the melodies on his work belong to other people

All the main body of his work was created by other people

It's not his lyrics that have made him successful

I guess some artists are just held to higher standards than others. Rock musicians are accused of plagiarism if they use so much as a few bars from pre existing work, and accused by some of "cultural appropriation" because they're influenced by Chuck Berry and Fats Domino

Meanwhile you've got mainly black rap artists ripping off other work on basically all their music, and Jay Z in particular culturally appropriating when it suits him...... nicking a living off the back of Billy Squier, Lionel Bart and Charles Strouse

I’m not a fan of Jay Z either tbh never really rated him

Madvillainy is the best rap album of all time tho by MF DOOM & Madlib, would encourage anyone to listen to it regardless if it ain’t their favourite genre

Big Chungus and Toupee are set to end Juve's reign.

Feels weird without the Milan clubs at the top of the game.

United lost Herrera, didn't replace. Now they sold Lukaku, didn't replace.

What are they doing?
