First XI from the top 4?

Postby CynicalGooner » Sat Sep 19, 2009 12:01 am

What's the strongest first team from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and United this season?

At first it seems an easy question, but the more you think about it the harder it seems. Vidic and Terry are the same type of CB, would they play well together? Who's best to lead the line, Torres or Drogba? You also have to account for the strongest formation, classic 4-4-2, Arsenal's 4-3-3 or Chelsea's new Diamond etc.

Here's a first crack at it:

--------------van Der Sar---------------
--Sagna-----Terry-----Vidic-----Cashley
------------------Essien-----------------
--------Fabregas-------Gerrard---------
-van Persie-----Torres------Arshavin--

I went with 4-3-3 as I like it :)

So thats 4 from Arsenal, 3 from Chelsea, 2 from Liverpool & 2 from United. You may call it bias but that's how I see it :sneaky2:

Just had a thought, what league do you think could make the strongest XI, Premier League, La Liga or Serie A? That could be interesting

But who would you take over Cech???

Foster, Almunia and Riena aren't much better options... Certainly not Foster or Almunia. MAYBE Riena...

Dare I point out that Arsenal are not in the top 4?? The thread title does not match the question asked...

the top four are:

Chelsea
ManU
ManC
Spurs

Arsenal are not in the second top four either...

that would be:

Liverpool
Villa
Sunderland
Stoke

Arsenal are 9th :dontknow: (3 points off the relegation zone.... ;) )
