But when the PL allowed Tottenham to postpone a game through a few covid cases they set a precedent. They'll have to find some way out of this hole they've put themselves in.

Spurs had seven Covid cases, Leicester had nine, Liverpool took the piss claiming 6 but then 5 were 'errors' .... we've got just one ....

No games should be called off, that's why you have a squad, an under 23 side, and an academy ... it's bollocks.

7 Covid cases? 23 man squad plus players they can call upon. 2 or 7 cases makes no difference - the squads are big enough.
Can't have one rule for some clubs only. The spuds started it and got a unfair advantage with a full 2 week winter break to plan with a new manager and prepare for games against weakened opponents.

I don't normally agree with you Jay, but I'm with you all the way on this one.

Only case games have for postponement is if all keepers are unfit,
Keeping being the specialist position that is ( and this leaves peeps the argument that all positions are specialist) but imo that is the only case that has merit

the PL made a rod for their own back years ago when they started trying to punish teams for playing weakened sides, even if every player selected was in the 25 man squad, you can't go from insisting that teams must play their best sides to demanding they put out the U16s in needed to get a game on

Absolute mess the PL have got themselves into because they let Spurs start this crap.
That very first time Spurs should have been told to play or forfeit the game 3-0.

Manager Sean Dyche said there were "10 recognised first-team players in training", adding the side has gone "too far past the threshold".

Probably be postponed

And it is

Poor Burnley. They'll be slaughtered by everyone.

Or is it just Arsenal?

We've been absolutely slaughtered.

The media hate us and they're not even attempting to hide it.

Don’t read the rags but I am not surprised.
We’re hated by the media and also the PGMOL.

The whole lot of them have shown their true colours with this.

Every man jack of them has jumped on the anti-Arsenal bandwagon.

It's so true. I listented to 606, both presenters were against it because it wasn't Covid, it should only be for Covid they said. None should have been called off, but they set a precedent with Spurs and now they have to live with it.
