lol seems real important to you.
It kills you that Arteta has done really well this season and it’s bloody hilarious.

Right.

So let me ask you, how is that manager of year nomination coming along.

Despite all you stating he was going to be for weeks it turns out he’s not even nominated. This kind of proves how detached you are from the reality.

I’ve long stated I’m unconvinced by him due to the performances and his management style but that if he got top 4 he would earn another year in my eyes.

Who chose the nominations?
Top 4 and he’s the best manager in the league ( depending on what Klopp does with the quad push).
He’s done a good job already, could be a brilliant job.

The same people who choose the nominations every year, I’m not sure why it matters.

Well your opinion doesn’t count for much here because you don’t make the nomination and you’re not impartial. The people that do didn’t even list him, that tells us he wasn’t one of the best at all, not even in the top 6 in fact.

Who are they?

I’m not privy to that information, but I don’t see why that matters, every year managers are nominated according to their performance.

No player, manager or fan is involved.
It’s chosen by a panel picked by corporate sponsors.
The reaction from the people who matter, the fans, says it all.

No one complains about who is chosen for manager of the year, this is just a way of devaluing the award.

In my experience they always pick the right person.

Fans shouldn’t choose anyway as they’re clearly biased in many cases.

EVERY THREAD!!!

........ your just ruining the forum at this point.

No one cares about your fkin obsession with Arteta, the fans want us to secure top 4 so why don't you stop polluting every thread with your BS.

You mean EVERY THREAD!!! the same Arteta bs negative talking points.
If you don’t like the counter to the BS don’t spread it and your one sided attacks don’t land. I see them for what they are.

The negative crap all season should have stopped months ago.

Absolutely.

They deserve ribbing and getting laughed at. All of the people who've gone on and on about how the manager was incapable of improving our league position.

And when they get the hump about the ribbing and the mockery about how wrong they were they start crying troll & wum, and calling for the mods to remove people.

They have made this place a car crash all season.
Some of the criticism way way beyond the pale. Not reasoned, not objective, just total crap.

There was some valid criticism too, but hard to even engage with it with the constant sea of Arteta bad trolling every day for an entire season.

I am not complaining, just pointing out that I along with a vast amount of other people judging by fan reaction, disagree with it.
A faceless panel chosen by corporate sponsors does not represent valid arbitration on the subject.

I don’t see many disagreeing.

Why not, they’re people, they have an opinion and they come to a joint decision based on the majority.

It’s not a hard decision to make to be fair, there’s always some oustanding candidates.

For once I agree. Done a great job, recovered from a little wobble and put together some good results all while playing decent football.

Arteta up there though, just keen to see how we handle the extra competition next year and really see how much it benefitted us this year. If we make the right signings for squad depth then I don’t think it should be a major factor.

If he gets 4th he's succeeded, if he doesn't he's failed simple as that.

He gambled in January, Spurs strengthened, we live and die by our decisions and Arteta himself said it was a gamble.

......... if he fails the questions will be, why did he gamble our season away?

I don’t know if you can put not signing players in January squarely on Arteta.

Edu and Josh should get most of the blame imo.

I don't think we should be signing just anyone if we can't get who we want. Many clubs couldn't get the players they wanted in January. I hope the days when the club signed 5th choice players when they couldn't get the players they wanted have gone. Signing players like Sanogo, Chamakh, Lucas Perez and so on were a total waste of time and money. I'd rather not sign anyone if we can't get who we want - and give youngsters a chance in that interim period.

Spot on
The transfer windows are like crack cocaine to some fans. They just get wrapped up in the drama. That’s why sky play it up like a full on drama show with that ridiculous t**t in the yellow tie.
No player is better than one that is not going to make an impact or doesn’t have the right character.
