Rebuild underway if reports are true.

Not sure we have a single player that would get into their starting 11 tbh. Tomyiasu and Odegaard maybe ?

alexafc12 wrote:Chelsea need a rebuild.

Some ageing players in that squad and a real lack of depth if outgoings are to be believed.

Mendy

James ---- Silva ---- De Ligt ---- Chilwell

Jorginho ---- Kovacic ---- Kante

Havertz
Raphinha ---- ---- Sterling

Bench:
Kepa
Mount
Werner
Sarr
Ziyech
Loftus-Cheek
Chalobah
Hudson-Odoi

He's certainly willing to put his money where his mouth is.

Takes a £85m loss on Lukaku.

£50m on Sterling | £65m on Raphinha | £75-80m on De Ligt | £30 - 40m on Ake

If he pulls it off they're looking good for a title challenge.

It's his first window so he'll want to impress.

Eventually he'll calm down. He's in it to make money so he can't splash the cash every window anyway if he wants to make profit.

You have no idea what hes gonna do in the future. you just seem extremely salty that he just upgraded chelsea massively.

He's playing real life football manager. You can't keep splashing the cash when you're part of a consortium.

Sterling is the winger we needed, another consequence of losing out on CL. We could have brought him offering CL and £200k pw, perfect influence for Saka as well.

Instead we are signing City's Nketiah and using every stat except goals scored to prove that he was the right man.

Can't agree with any of that I'm pleased to say.

Eyeing up a bid for De Jong apparently.

Such a mess over there.

Got rid of a load of experienced football people at the top. The owner's made himself transfer negotiator when he has no experience of football. His forte is baseball and basketball.

Signing Sterling when they need a striker, CB and CM more.
Spoke to Man Utd about signing Ronaldo apparently (?!).
Now trying to seize De Jong from Utd.

They look lost.

They're much stronger than they were last season... not sure why you're trying to fool your self.

Man City "overpaid" to win 5 titles - Liverpool "overpaid" for a CL and EPL win .... we paid 72m for Pepe FFS .... so what are you on about? With top clubs having deep pockets not "overpaying" almost guarantees no top four .... even if you think it's amazing, you're just plain wrong.

Coming out of this window saying City / Liverpool / Chelsea / Spurs all "overpaid" for their 4/5 proven new signings, meanwhile Arsenal got in 2/3 players with potential at "good value" ... would that work for us? would you be happy? more importantly could we realistically mount a top four and EL challenge?

Having the balls to spend the big money, that's pretty much essential now ... it's not "amazing" at all.

Sign Gnarby for 50m, Martinez 40m, Tielemans 45m ... overpriced sure but that's the only way we get top players.
