I work in development.
Red tape is phenomenal in this country. Things take ages to build but half of it is the amount of safety checks, testing and commissioning that goes into large scale projects.
From a cash flow perspective I'm over the moon with this news. Those c*** have to stump up more money to lease Wembley, lose more ticket revenue they probably accounted for at the start of the season and potentially throw more money to accelerate the build programme to offset these delays.
If its a more technical/design related problem that's even more expensive as you need to spend extra fees for redesigns.
Bringing in another consultant is even more time while they get to grips with what's done and quibble over the work that's already been done.
This is why there weren't any signings because they knew this was happening. Their transfer fund has probs been diverted to their f**k up budget.
